intermittent pas problem, no warning lights

Featured Replies

Got pas issue, can live with it but im interested to no if a ****ed steering angle sensor can cause power steering to work after a second or so? I turn, its super heavey to the point it doesn't move then it kicks in and I can turn easier, was hoping it wasnt a sensor lol I no this topic has been covered several thousand times but I coodnt find anything

Cheers

Steering angle sensor, but have the battery load tested first. Also check the large blade fuses on top of the battery, it's not uncommon for the PAS fuse to crack.

Thanks, I thought that as my power steering often kicks in my sensor may be ok? Just a badly charging battery

It's amazing how bad PAS can be (literally un-moveable) with a poor battery.  Had mine replaced and didn't solve the issue, thinking it must be something else.  Turns out the new replacement battery was faulty and replacing that cured the thing!

I had this problem upgraded the battery with somthing with a bit more umph and ive never has a problem scine
