Headlining removal for Aerial replacement

Featured Replies

I have a 2002 Superb Classic with a broken roof aerial, the base has snapped off.  I bought a new one but it seems I have to remove the headlining to do so, is there a guide to do this?  Can I just pull the rear down a bit to get access to the nut?

Thanks

Yea i did this on tues.

open both rear doors

Unscrew both rear grab handles

Pull the door rubbers down

Gentley pop out the tops of the inner quarter panel trim (careful how far you pull as curtain airbag strap attatched to it)

Carefully pull the back edge of the headcloth over the holding lip

This should give you enough room to get in underneath with your 20mm spanner, the plug is on the passenger side.

The plug is akward, outer ring has to be pulled back from the radio side of cable before u pull the two ends apart

Another note, it may be easier if you take headrests out, i didnt bother
