MDI

Featured Replies

Can any one tell me how difficult it is to retro fit a MDI to a Columbus.

My dealer wants £450 to fit but hunting on the net I've found

the parts needed for around £125.

Is this a DIY job or should it be left to a dealer.

Also is there any way to take the compass off the map screen have looked

but cannot find anything in the setting menus.

Should say its a 2013 Superb estate which I've owned for 3 weeks  well

impressed already returning 42 MPG with only 750 miles on hoping to

improve on that as she loosens up.

MDI is pretty easy to retro fit and is quite easily a DIY job.

There are various threads on this forum about doing it: everything from fitting the bracket through to where to put it are all covered.

Look in the Yeti forum as well as the Octavia one as much if the info in there is directly transferable to the Superb.

Do you mean the little compass in the top left if the screen which shows which way north is or the big one in a new 'window' that takes up hf the screen?

If the latter, press the 'Map' button and it will go away and give you a full screen map. Pressing it again brings it back.

Alternatively, tap the bar abive the compass which says 'Compass' and you can choose what is displayed in its place.

Hope that all helps and welcome to Briskoda.
