.... a driveshaft that wont part company with the hub?

basically car need a new driveshaft, so got one of those sorted

upon trying to fit it tonight the driveshaft will just not part company from the hub, it looks as if the splines have slipped and its stuck fast

had a massive hammer and punch on the centre part of the driveshaft and there is no way on this earth its going to budge! even had a hub puller on the go to no avail

so i've bought a second hand hub and just going to swap that in

what an absolute mare of a job

sounds lovely.

hope u get it sorted jase.

not really...

smashed my finger with the mash hammer too!

now its double the size...

i also know the track rod end is stuck fast in that hub, and the tie rod has been melted by a monkey tyre fitted...

so basically a new driveshaft is costing me, a hub, track rod end, tie rod and the initial driveshaft! urgh!!!

When i put my cupra r hubs on,

i had hub in press with 30 ton on shaft and welding bottles warming it up to shift it, ended up mashing shaft,

I have a spare 6 speed shaft in shed thats no use to me just carnt remember which size

Its totally cream crackered like!

Any other one i've done usually just pops out no problem!

This one on the other hand is going to give me nightmares
