Hi all,

 

Took my Superb into Skoda Leicester about 3 months ago to get the rust around the number plate lights dealt with, saw the paintshop guy pretty quick after that, then didn't hear anything from them....

 

Popped in today as I was passing, and he didn't even seem to have a record that i'd ever been in, which was a bit worrying. 

 

I'll update you guys when anything happens, but I was just wondering if this was normal for Skoda??

Not been my experience. After a bit of confusion with the original pictures taken by body shop going missing I managed to get the same issue resolved quite quickly. I received a courtesy car for a week or so. All good. I now have noticed a similar issue on driver's side door which I will look at getting sorted again under warranty.

Skoda_Doug, it would appear the garage saw your post and decided to do that, went in today and they seemed to be unable to find the photos or measurements they took with the paint depth thing!

 

They're going to call me when they have their paint depth measuring device in (Skoda Leicester is now part of a bigger motor group) so we'll see how it goes....

Shouldn't be an issue since the dealer should get approval from SUK to pay for the repair (once they see the pics). I have received approval to get the other bubbling issue on the driver door sorted next week. Here's hoping that SUK and your dealer get this sorted asap for you.

Whilst ours was in for a repair on some self-inflicted damage to a wheel arch, I mentioned the number plate lights to our usual dealer (not local). He fixed them under warranty as part of the other repair work, all turned around in under a week.
