After switching off the engine I get the message "steering deadlock. Check handbook!" Or words to that effect. Is this normal?

Our monte says that swmbo's uncles superb says it.

It's because one click on lock button deadlocks the car and two click only locks it. It's a warning to not lock passengers in as the norm is deadlocks are two clicks
