Rattling Door Locks

Featured Replies

Our Yeti is coming up to 3 years old. Last year the door locks started rattling and our garage said this was a known fault and all locks were replaced (keys stayed the same) under warranty.  Now the rattling has started again to the driver's door and will have to be attended to at the next service.  Anyone else suffered this and has a definitive fix been found?

Must be so well known that no-one here appears to have suffered it.

I am very dubious of these "Common problem" claims by dealers; they appear to be an excuse to pacify the punter, even though they do something about it.

Survey,

found your post regarding rattling door locks.

My Yeti 2.0 ltr,4x4 "Adventure" 6 mths old has also developed a rattle of the drivers door lock over the slightest uneveness of road suface.

I`ll book it into my local dealer for attention although don`t have much faith in their competence after a warranty repair of my previous car an Octavia.

Also this car has an annoying vibration in the dash panel which increases or decreases with the revs of the engine i.e. take your foot off the accelerator disappears, foot back on the accelerator returns, most annoying.Don`t know if that could be found let alone fixed.
