Drips!

Featured Replies

My Yeti appears to have become slightly incontinent :(

I noticed a damp patch on the drive this afternoon, under the driver's side sill about half way back.  Closer inspection revealed that liquid of some kind was dropping from the point circled in red in the photo:

Any ideas?  Is it about to blow up and kill me?

Is it drying up and leaving no mark on the drive :wonder:   If so then it's likely to be trapped rain water or A/C condensate that’s got into the floorpan stone guard.

Otherwise if it's slightly oily and smells of diesel then that blue pipe above is the fuel line; dealer visit then. Or if not smelling of fuel oil it might be cavity wax if its a hot day with you :wonder:

Hope of help,

Tim beat me to it....but to be fair his was a fuller answer

It's not a leaving a mark, and it doesn't smell of anything very much - certainly not oily.  I suspect you're right, it's a/c condensate.  (It's not been hot enough here today to melt the cavity wax, although it has been a trifle muggy which would add weight to the a/c explanation.)

That cover looks like it would unbolt very easily. Perhaps take it off and have a look, especially if your Yeti is already out of warranty?

Almost sure to be A/C condensate. First time I saw it was in a filling station soon after I bought it and I panicked!

Seen it often since and no variation in any liquid levels in the car.
