Just picked up new phone, tried to connect to car, all goes well until car requests pin, tried the default 1234 nothing happened, is this pin supposed to be generated by the car or the phone, or????

Should simply show a code on the phone and radio and you confirm that they match.

Have you made the phone visible before trying to connect?

I cannot get anything to come up in the phone menu of car except reset to default settings???

All radios will show it, but unless you can see it you don't have it
