Rs4 reps

Featured Replies

Is anyone running 18" RS4 7 spoke reps?

Are they ok and how do they stand up to pot holes?

Our T4 had some on it when we got it,  they didn't last long, 1 was slightly buckled when we got it and i managed to bugger 2 with a shallow pot hole last Xmas eve.

These were a multifit wheel, i have a friend with some non multifit reps and his have been ok so far.

Guess its luck of the draw with reps i think

I take it your multifit ones were 9 spokes? I'm referring to the 7 spokes

i ran a set on my 06 fabia vrs for 3years no problems at all, i had to run 35 profile tyres due to it being lowered, but even then no pothole problems, i do think they are agreat looking wheel.

I tried some on my vrs mate and tbh they didnt suit it,and the replicas do buckle easily

I'm possibly getting gunmetal ones which IMO should look good on a black car.

martin - given the power your car makes i'd not want to blunt that with some heavy replica rims, so if you do go down this route check how much the new rims weigh before you get them. you would not believe the performance benefit you feel with some super-light rims :)

when i fitted the neuspeeds (8kg) my vRS felt like it has another 20bhp!

Hmm I'll check the weight out :)

A quick search puts them at 11.3kg which I believe is lighter than the 18" Zenith.

yes, but tbh that's not hard lol.. OE neptunes are 13.5 IIRC so i'd expect a zenith to be similar.

Well I've now secured some graphite OZ superleggera 18's which I presume will be nice and light.

yep, can't remember exactly but i think they're around 8kg. That's light enough to be noticable, ride and accelleration/braking all improve :)
