Emissions

Featured Replies

Hi to all,

My 2001 octy VRS has for the second consecutive year failed it's mot on emissions, in particular the fast idle reading (3ppm instead of 0.19ppm) last year I had a new front lamba sensor and catalytic converter fitted, bearing in mind that these parts are only 12 months old can anyone help with any suggestions as to any other possible fault(s) or am i going to have to sell the bullion reserves to buy another cat.

Thanks in advance.

Skoda original parts? If so, then if they were garage fitted there's a 12 months warranty on them.

Never had a diesel but have often heard the advice to give them a high speed blast before the MOT. Hope this helps but I could be talking rubbish!

All the best.
