4 wheel alignment needed for a new car ?

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm just newbie here and going to get my fabia MK2 from the dealer next week.

Wondering, should I do 4 wheel alignment right after getting this new car ? Or does any one know whether 4 wheels of each new car was actually aligned before coming out the assembly factory ?

The reason I ask this is, last time our new car(other brand), inner shoulder of tires worn too quick. Then we had to replace them only after 14000km.

Thanks.

Arguably the car should be set-up properly when it leaves the factory.

However, I had mine checked on a Hunter device a couple of months after new and the guy said it's not uncommon for wheels to be misaligned straight from the factory.

Don't believe the rear wheels have much adjustment anyway, a front wheel align would do no harm.

You can only adjust the front on Fabias, not the rear!

Thanks guys, I'll consider to check the wheel alignment after a certain extent driving, to make sure again.

And thanks for advising that the rear wheels cannot be adjusted, just like most of others.
