When should a confirmed build date be set,

I called skoda last week and they said it could be 2 weeks before they know if I have a confirmed build date.

It's due week 40 so start of next week on.

Surely I should at least know sometime this week?

The problem is that it might change at any time until it is confirmed. So if you ask on Wednesday for example, it could be confirmed for next week, still provisional for next week or moved to another week altogether.

 

If they've decided that it is definitely going to be built next week, you should be able to get confirmation this week.

I called Skoda on Wednesday last week and was told my car was confirmed to be built this week so maybe give them a call mid week and they should be able yo tell you whether it's confirmed or not for next week.

Called into the dealers on my way home, it's now confirmed for next week.

Estimated delivery 2-3 weeks later, hopefully week commencing 21st oct

I spoke to my dealer today - week 40 build confirmed. Which is a pain as I wanted to add leather haha but hey ho! At least its getting build now yay for us who should get our cars at the same time!

The wonder pack?!?! Does that give the car like a super power? :P 

I must have missed out on the wonder pack option too  ...but did go for leather. My Octy VRS is 2 weeks behind yours with a build week of 42. Can't wait, and already getting far too excited.
