Recently got flashed through a 60 zone, im insured through adrian flux and pay £1900 a year (bit much but im 19) will it affect my premium when I declare it??

Hi,

It depends. Each insurer will have there own terms regarding convictions and how they effect the policy. If you wanted to OM me your details I'd be happy to take a look into it for you.

Regards,

Dan.

If you have an existing Insurance policy and get caught speeding during that policy do you have to declare it to the insurance or do you wait for the renewal?

Hi,

We would advise you to notify your insurer immediately however it shouldn’t have any bearing on the policy until the renewal.

Regards,

Dan.

According to an article in Auto Express a fixed penalty for speeding saw your premium at renewal go up by an average of 9% but,a fixed penalty for using a mobile phone while driving saw your premium go up by an average of 18%.The average was taken from quotes from 8 insurance companies.
