Hi all. Long time stalker, first time poster.

 

My 2009 fabia 2 has been making some weird noises with the climatronic air con on. It's kind of a woosh-y noise like it had athsma, but it was still cooling the car well and wasn't doing it all the time, mostly at low speeds when the car was cold. Then on Saturday I started my car and all the symbols on the air con screen flashed on and off for about 30 seconds. I came back to it later - no flashing symbols and no wooshing noise. Since then the symbols keep flashing so i've not been using the air con or heater.

 

Does anybody have any ideas?

Probably needs regassing

flashing sybols simply means fault, I'd get skoda to plug in and find out what it is..... noises could be from a partially blocked pollen filter?

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully not an expensive job then. How often should the air con be regassed?

Got it booked in to the dealer £96 just for the diagnostics. ouch. so much for not being expensive!
