Can anything be done for a Fabia 69PS 1.2S?

Optomistic here, but my new car is a bit more gutless than I was expecting and needs some "assistance".  It's not a fair comparison against my other small car which has an additional 100bhp and a Cup chassis, but is there anything I can do to bridge the gap slightly apart from losing weight (already tackling that, but there's not even an engine cover to remove  )?

It's a long-term car as its ultimately for a learner driver after the warranty has expired, so it might help if any suggestions are reversible - i.e. not "crush it"  .
