Limp mode again

Featured Replies

Had the EPC light/limp mode issue and initial fault code as 'misfire on cylinder 1'.

Spark plug looked abnormal with strange loss of metal as the tip and signs of burn marks on the outside of plug. Other plugs look well past their sell by date (just had 3rd yr service) and a month out

of warranty. Probably the ignition lead at fault too as changing the plug did not cause the misfire to go away. Seems plugs are not changed until 40k miles.

What with other noises from the DSG not resolved may have to rethink next purchase.

Seems to be a too often re-occuring issue.
