Video to rear screen

Featured Replies

Hi, I did a search and couldn't find a thread that seemed to answer my questions.

I have a new Oct mkIII with a columbus and I found that it will play DVD and avi files, so I would like to install a video output to a screen in the rear for little to watch on long journeys and I found this http://www.motordiag.eu/produkt/video-adapter-rns-510-skoda-columbia

I was wondering is this the right thing and how difficult is it fit?

Any advice gratefully received

Rear Screen Entertainment (RSE) is occasionally discussed on here and other fora but the general consensus seems to be to just buy stand alone units from Argos (or similar).

There are a number of output devices for the Columbus fitted to Octavia II's and, in comparison, your one seems very cheap.

In theory it is almost plug and play. Connect to back of Columbus, extend wires to screen(s) and you are pretty much there.

Does this work with the Octavia III Columbus though? It states RNS-510 which is the previous generation of hardware. I've not seen any diagrams of the new ones as yet to say any more.
