Front suspension clunking on 2004 Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Just bought a 2004 Octavia VRS.  Can't find what's 'clunking' on the NSF suspension!

Could be lots of things, drop links, ball joints, worn wishbone bushes.

Does the steering feel a bit loose on rough surfaces whilst manouvering etc? Any other symptoms?

If it's a 2004 vRS, won't it be a Mk1?

If so your question needs moving :)

My guess would be drop link cheap and easy to change to at least eliminate. I've had 3 go in 4 years 65k

Sorry!  I'm new to this.

It's probably front wishbone bushes, the round bush on the rear of the wishbone.

Top mounts?

FARB bushes?
