Scrolling Through Music on USB Stick

Featured Replies

I have my mp3's on my usb stick and have it attached via the cable and everything plays fine.  The music is all tagged correctly and in named folders, is there a quick way to scroll through each folder so I can see what I want to play?  At the moment when I click folder it just shows the names - folder 1, folder 2 etc.  In previous cars I could hold in the next track key and it would take you to the next folder, do we have that facility with the Fabia vRS?

If you arrange the albums in folders - artist and then album then you can use the right side knob to run through the folders. The buttons under the screen let you go up or down a level, then the knob does the selecting. Its a slow process though and tricksy while driving. It's a shame the function is not on the steering wheel.

My albums are all in artist-album folders and I've tried using the right knob.  All it seems to do is go through one track at a time until you hit the next album, it doesn't even show you what track it's changing it to either.  It would be nice if turning the knob actually displayed each album and then pressing the button took you to that folder.  Looks like I might have to consider a new head unit that can do this.

If you press the 'browse' button when a song is playing then press 'up' you can cycle through the file structure with the right knob.

I have a folder for each letter of alphabet, then inside folders for artist then folders per album and i can scroll through letter, artisit, album or song depending how many times you press the 'up' button.
