Geearbox oil change VRS

Featured Replies

Right,

I have decided its time to do a oil change on my gearbox, i have a oil extractor so i can drain the oil... Will this be okay for the job.  it was great on my little caddy pickup as it was soooo low i couldnt use my ramps and had to drive up on block of wood to put a trolly jack under!

If all good, what oil should i use and how much?

cheers

cheeky pic of my caddy having a blood transfusion...

what to see how low??

ill add more pictures if requested! I DO MISS THAT THING! BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS WENT INTO IT!

there is a drain plug at the bottom, a pump wont pull up all the gunk and bits in the bottom as well as draining it tbh

nor will it remove all the metal fillings on the magnet drain plug

Easy job to do. Make sure you, as others will insist, purchase the oil from Skoda/VW though.
