FInally, after waiting for ~4 months it arrived two days ago.

Black Combi 2.0 diesel with DSG, Canton, Sports suspension, Xenons, Tinted windows, mitsumi and all. You have to imagine the 225/40 Golus as cars imported to Scandinavia after 1st of Ocober are fitted with winter tyres due to regulations (in atleast Sweden). The winter tyres need caps I think, probably some black ones.

Review so far (after 200 km):

PROs

- Super easy driving style. I'm comming from a Golf and the handling is exactly the same, you don't feel it's much bigger.

- The Canton sounds great, as others have said it probably needs to be broken in before it really unfolds

- The torque of the diesel engine is amazing. At least up to...ehm... after 170 it faints out

- Sound level at cruising highway cruising speed is increadible low. You can have a conversation with the people in the back without raising your voice

- The cornering function of the Xenons. Provides really really good overview. My guess is that is can light an angle of 35 degrees or so.

- The heavy feel of the doors. You actually have to give it a firm push, it feels much like there's some quality in it.

- Interior, especially the lighting of the dashboard and console

- The stiffness of the undercarrige. It's like driving a go-kart. Perfect for my taste, no wobbly feeling.

- The coming home/leaving light. The LEDs are soooooo beautiful bright (Without activating the DLR in the car menu, you will go about with the LED+normal position light bulp in daylight, but changing the setting in the menu will make you go with Xenon+LED as daylights. The dealer said something with automatic DLR in the fog lights and the Xenon swithcing on when darkness falls, but I could not make it work. My fogs are only on by switch). Anyway, I want to have to run with xenon+LEDS all the time + rear light on all the time too.

CONs

- The Bolero bump up the volume (maybe to default level) when putting the gear in Park

Conclusion: Sublime driving experience. I pretty much have a smile on my face all the time.

ps. The chrome fitting on the side and on the back are missing as the skilled worker fitting them was sick, so the dealer would rather give me the car than having me waiting a week. Thank you :-)

pps I think the chrome list around the windows solves the B pillar gap. Mine are perfectly fitted.

I am mostly concerned about the sport-suspension. I know I like the car. Have tried it several times in the store, but none of the dealers have had one with sport-suspension. But I ordered one with sport-susp anyway. Hope Its not to tight!

And congratulations by the way :)

Congratulations!

I will be traveling to Denmark ( Fredrikshavn ) in December with my new Octavia. Looking forward to letting the car stretch its legs on some Danish highways.

HEY! There are actually speed limits around here!
Of course you'd have to be extremely unlucky to actually run into the police on the highway near Frederikshavn. And except for when the Ferry's land they're usually as empty as a church Friday evening! ;)

But be warned, you need to go to Germany to really test the car :p On the plus side in Germany you can buy beer cans for 2kr a can, and noone will look twice if you buy 10 boxes of 30 cans

Actually in some border stores they're more likely to look twice if you only buy a couple of cans  :giggle:

Whooops apologies for going off-topic!
