Fabia Combi Comfort Rear Speakers

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Having recently purchased a stonegrey Fabia Combi Comfort (8'th of Aug.), I'm quite new to Fabia... and was wondering if any of you have experience in installing rear speakers?

I've looked through all threads (I think), dealing with Fabia Combi & speakers, but to no avail. Did I miss a thread? If so, I'd be happy if someone could point me in the right direction.

Anyway, glad to be here - seems like an educational forum, although it seems like you've all been had by dealers selling you cars with the steering wheel installed in the wrong side... :D

But I guess rear speakers are still installed in the rear, and since there are two of them, mixing the sides up won't matter so much...

Cheers from Denmark

Welcome to briskoda!

Does the combi not come with rear speakers as standard, or do you wish to fit extra speakers?

I like that blue variation... You can tell you're from Europe in the pic - Classic style flats in the background. Bit like what my Gran used to live in in Germany.

I will be ASTOUNDED if the Fabia Combi does not come with rear speakers.... Why would the hatch have them, and not that model..?

That blue variation is Stone Grey! The bigger the car the better it can carry it off. It looks fine on the Octavia and the Fabia estate but in my opinion the hatch doesn't suit it!

Thanks for your welcome note :) !

Well, according to the danish specs, it comes with 4 FRONT speakers only - had overlooked the "front" and thought 4 speakers would mean 2 in the front + 2 in the back.

So I got a little disappointed first time I tried to adjust the fade-button toward the rear speakers... :cussing:

I can tell from the ISO connecter that the wiring is ready for the rear speakers, though.

I would like to fit speakers in the empty rear speaker compartments, but do know how to disassemble the plastics, and am worried about getting them all scratched or worse... thought maybe someone in here would know how?

Best regards,

Not too familiar with the Fabia Combi - do the speakers fit in the rear doors, or under the side shelves in the luggage compartment?

If the first, try gently prising off the grille - if it looks like it will come out, chances are it will! If they go under the side shelves, it's easy enough to screw them in. If your ISO is wired for rear speakers, you might be lucky to find the wiring loom to the back carries some speaker wires, although laying your own will be easy enough... :)

Rob.

Like Rob said, just have a go.

Take your time and you wont break anything ( I hope!)

I'd try not to mix up the sides though if you can help it.

Then just bung in some upgraded speakers and away you go!
