Vrs tsi

Featured Replies

Anyone came across any detailed/interesting literature on the new tsi engine as used in the golf gti and vrs? Always like to have a read up on what makes the car tick!

Not much to say about it really, its a breathed on version of the TSi engine used in the MK6 Golf, 10 more hp, 51lb/ft more torque.

I hear mixed reviews on it, some say its really free revving, others say its quite diesel like in its power delivery and gets noisy and breathless towards the top of the rev range (normal for TSi 4 cylinder turbos). Ive not driven one so cant comment but would imagine as usual its considerably faster and a better steer than the diesel, just not half as efficient of cheap to run.
