World of Tanks

Featured Replies

So Ive sold my Xbox now to make way for the new one at the end of the month, and turned my attention to trying World Of Tanks on my laptop to fill the time :)

Does anyone else here play it, and maybe interested in an online briskoda battle.

Some tips would be handy too :)

Cheers,

Paul.

I play it but only the Xbox version lol.

I clicked on this thread hoping it was about real tanks. :(

Sorry Boss. I like the sound of your idea tho.

Someone on the forum put me onto "War Thunder" which is a WW2 airplane sim right now.

Soon (this month so goes the rumor) they will introduce tanks into it with ships coming later. They're going to have a full war mode later with some players in tanks, and some in planes all at the same time.

I think it's going on the PS4 network shortly, dunno about other formats. I play it on the PC. It's free to play too. Lots of players there that have come across from World of Tanks and World of Planes.

Bloody addicting gunning down annoying gobby shoits with a 45mm cannon on a Russian Yak 9

i play WOT, have done for ages now

gets a bit annoying after a while but i still enjoy some games now and then but to get far in it you need to bu a premium account, i guess nothing is truly free

War Thunder is much less foreceful with pay-to-win. that's with planes anyway. I wait to see what happens with the tanks.

My name is Vindy and I'm a WOT adict. I first started playing 7 days ago....

Tanks have started on War Thunder, still very much a beta there though. The do have mixed mode with players in plane and tanks on the same maps

Have noticed this game maxes out my graphics card. Runs it 100%. Is it cracking govt level encrypts under the guise of playing the game - ponders - . It's a GTX260 with 1792MB RAM. Doesn't hit the system CPU anywhere near that level.

it all depends on the settings you use, theyve incorporated what they call HD gfx now, for an online only game it is pretty demanding

Have just I think the term is : "Rage deleted" the game. Was a little more thoughtful than that. But if it won't reliably work - cue tanks carrying on in straight lines or aimlessly circling whilst I try not to introduce the neighbours to 21st century Anglo-Saxon.

At my age I can do without the stress and I can do much with the otherwise wasted time.

A little WOT is a great pass time when the good lady settles into Her Soaps....rather play a little than watch those..lol

Makes a nice change from the mad shooters...you do need to think a little....and each game/battle/enemy and own team set up is different, so it's not a game of remembering what happens where....

Not a Clan player ( to serious,dedicated).. Or platoon....just solo.

I have the young ones dabble too, there is an option for the 3 of us to onto our own maps and play without disturbing everyone else

You can progress without premium, it just takes time ( thats the idea lol)

SgtH euro.

My mate spends £40 a month on this... He is crazy!

Not played WOT but I found an online flash based game called Tanki. Graphics aren't up to WOT standards but it's a lot of fun and pretty addictive :D

As does mine, he allocates £40 per month on it. I'm sure he said he's on something stupid like 40k battles. I downloaded it on the iPad, had one game and deleted it.

If anybody happens to play it on Xbox I have a code for a Tetrarch. More powerful and something about earning silver faster and no penalty for switching soviet commanders?

Dunno. Free to a good home if anybody wants it.

Both my son and I have been playing WOT for the last couple of weeks.  I'm driving the "Alter Fritz" , myTiger 2 and my boy has a Black Prince.  We play under DreadSQ and Planet Crusher.
