What is the advice for taking the car straight from the dealer to a detailer. Is it worth doing it soonest or leave it till it needs it?

I would treat it as a used car

Full decontamination of the paintwork...Clay, de ironise, * light polish and a coat or two of wax and/or sealer

* You will not believe the amount of iron particles in the paint...(Train from factory to Port)

I took mine to a reputable detailer rather than have the dealer do the £300 new car protection that they offer. Best thing I could have done, an amazing job done and at a cheaper price!
