Best Oem stereo fitted or can fit to a MK1 Octavia

Featured Replies

Hi all my Laurin and klement octavie came with the tape player stereo symphony and a x amount disc changer in the boot I'd like to fit a nice oem stereo to replace the tape player.

Is there any stereo out there that's plug and play into the mk1 that will still work off my volume and search buttons on my steering wheel? dont really fancy splashing out on an aftermarket stereo as I will search for the recomended stereo's at my local scrap yard

Can any of the mk2 double din stereo's fit would like to get one with built in bluetooh/usb compatable

I'm pretty sure that stereos from a Mk2 wont fit, being a different shape and CAN-BUS, if you want Bluetooth/USB it'll be aftermarket but you'll lose the CD changer and maybe the steering controls, If you want an OEM type I'd suggest either MFD1 double DIN unit or the symphony unit from early Superbs that play mp3 CDs.
