Featured Replies

And the pump and radiator are pointless now so after taking it off just need to find a short belt that goes around the pump and alternator anyone now what car will have the belt but no ac

Off topic but I Like the way the car is going mate, full track mode

Look for a poverty spec model with out air con ;)

When you've ripped the air con out try this. Car will handle sooo much better.

Any photos of the belt setup on the car as it is now?

The belt can also be fitted using the oem tensioner, but with it pushing "the wrong side" - i.e the side with the ribs.  However as it is just a roller this isn't an issue and I have been running mine this way for 4 years or more with no side effects.

howve you secured the battery there mate? Need to put mine in the wheel well it's just at the side of the boot at the minute.

The battery is in a marine grade battery box that's bolted to floor of car. A local garage did the work for me so not sure of all the technical points but it works perfectly!

It would be difficult to take a pic of the aux belt set up from top of engine as you'd see bugger all lol!

As Jason says the belt will run on the wrong side of the tensioner but this isn't a problem even after many miles. I bought a spare belt just in case but have never needed to use it.

Should be boxed in a sealed(?) container, reliably attached to the car. Should have a vent to the outside.
