Octy Estate First Detail

Featured Replies

Due to a need for a more spacious car, I recently traded my Octy vRS TDi Hatch in for a used Octy vRS TSi Estate.  It was in good condition when I bought it, but saw the need for some TLC here and there to get it how I wanted it, so at the earliest opportunity it was thoroughly washed, treated with Tardis and clayed, before going over it with my Megs DA fitted with a Sonus SFX1 pad and using Megs Ultimate Compound.  That was followed by a wipe over with some IPA and two applications of Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax, the second being applied on top of the first after about an hour.  The tyres were treated to a coat of Megs Endurance Gel and here are the results;

Not at the moment - the service on the DSG box and normal service are both due at 40,000 miles, so I want to wait to see if there are any unforeseen expenses looming before splashing the cash!!

Finances permitting, although the wheels don't have any kerb rash, I hope to get them powder coated in the spring, though.

What colour black?

Looks nice, wish mine was looking that clean at the minute.

Can see me having a session on it at the weekend. Dopey service agent washed it a few weeks ago and wiped off all the C2v3, so it running round "naked" at the minute :wall:

No, not a fan of black wheels, personally, though each to their own.  I will probably use one of the Wheel Specialist franchises, as they do a 'same day' turnaround and from the colours shown on their website, like the look of High Power Silver, but will make my final choice when I see the colours in the flesh (so to speak).
