Refit Standard Radio?!

Featured Replies

A bit embarrasing to have to ask for help with something that should be so simple!

I need to refit the standard head unit (prepping the car for sale). Old one came out in no time. New one refuses to go in flush to the dash - doesn't seem to be clipping in to anything?

And the backlight seems to stay on even after locking the car? I haven't left any 3rd party wiring in there - no power cables swapped etc.

What am I doing wrong?!!!

Ah, wooops. Wrong radio! Looks like they changed the wiring loom and fitment slightly betwen the non-facelift and facelift models! I was trying to fit the radio from my pre-facelift one into the facelift car. Doh!

Was put off the scent by the newer car having a tape deck, but of course it also has a CD changer in the boot.

Panic over!

Bet they have the power setup differently on the plug
