passenger wiper blade.

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed that their passenger wiper blade sits higher than the driver. Nearly an inch up the window. Is this normal?

No but I am constantly vexed by the overly large gap between passenger and driver blades that mean any water or windscreen wash will splatter up the through the gap inbetween them to later dry in a streak on the windscreen.

Thanks my gap there appears to be fine its less than a cm maybe some has adjusted the arm for some reason thats why my passenger blade rests about 1 inch above the black bit on the glass. They work so not to worry.

Hmmmm, then why are mine wrong, time to investigate

Edit: scratch that I was in the dealer only a few days ago and looked at the vRS' they had in and all were similar to mine, perhaps someone has 'fixed' yours?

I dunno my is defo different ive still got a photo of mine next to another vrs when i bought mine and my passenger wiper is defo slightly higher up the window the middle of the blade is an inch up from the black part of the glasd. I thought it was standard as it doesnt really stand out. But there is defo a difference. But apart from that i have had no issues what so ever once thr wipers are on.

Suggest not worrying about it in which case

Agreed.

Off topic is it worth changing the airfilter yet. Its on 28k now and getting around 40mpg with a mixture of motorway and town driving and the mad dash. Dealers say 40k......seems way too long.

The Passengers wiper blade often and usually sits over the Cars VIN Number when in its stopped position.

Look at the air filter and see. Cheap enough to get a new one.

Maybe worth getting the Spark Plugs changed,

the Dealer will say 40,000  for them as well, and they could be right, & the plugs fine but they may not be.

Cheers george

On the subject of wipers imo these new still flat blades do not wipe the window half as good as old fashion ones and believe me i keep both my windows and blades super clean but give me old skool ones any day..... :rain:  :rain:  :rain:

Old skool miles better..............but putting a window polish the windscreen improves things no end.
