Weitec Hicon GT (quick query)

Featured Replies

When driving at slow speeds the front passengers side coilover appears to be VERY creeky going over pot holes/speed bumps. Strage thing is, when going at speeds in excess of around 30mph there's no noise at all. So my questions is, what could be causing this to only occur at low speeds?

I wouldn't say its a knocking noise, defo more of a creek but it's really annoying!

Newish top mounts, new drop links and farb bushes seem fine. No play in the wheel when jacked up.

Any help would be much appreciated

Ta!

Is it a clonk noise?

Do your front springs have a clear plastic tube wound over them?

Hey bud,

Nope no clear plastic tubes when they were fitted. I'm guessing I've missed this : (

Wonder it they can be fitted now without having to remove the whole setup?

Any ideas where I can purchase these from if needed?

Many thanks in advance : )

Hi mate, arb's are both in good condition.

Prior to having the weitec's I didn't experience anything like this either : (

How low is the car?

It's not decked I'd say, the tyre wall is level with the wheel arch if that makes any sense lol

Bent or damaged wishbones?

Not had it before with the prev. coilies so I'd be suprised it is somthing other than the coilover units themselves. I'll try and get video up : )

Mines doing the same but on joms at the moment

Drop limks? I had a similar problem on mine, replaced the drop links problem solved.

Also one of my wheel bearing was knackered.

Worth a look mate.
