Traction issues

Featured Replies

My car seems to have developed a fault in the last few days. When I break traction and the traction control intervenes the orange 'skid' light stays illuminated on the instrument cluster.

The TC is then off despite me not turning it off. To get the TC back on I have to re-start the car.

Has anyone had this before?

Not had that problem, but when my brother got his Fabia estate, he would often have the traction control light come on. Which was down to a broken wire coming from the gearbox. May be worth checking?

sounds like a broken abs sensor to me

Sounds like you need to scan the ABS system for error codes.

Thanks for that. I'll get it scanned and see what pops up.
