hid bulb type

Featured Replies

Would a dual beam low wattage hid kit be right for my vrs? Im not getting a stupidly bright blue going for 6k bulbs and just had headlights aligned proper. I know alot of people disagree with these kits but im fed up with trying to see at night. Going from real good headlights in my audi to these poo things in octavia is not cool... cheers chaps. Dual beam h4 35watt 6?

Yep those will do the trick. Think its H4-3 is the hi/low hid or they do a hid/halogen which is H4-2 where the dipped is hid and the main is halogen. Just so it gives you the choice.

That's what I've got coming. Tried the flip flop hi/lows and they worked for about 5 mins before going ti*s up so decided to go for those instead. Don't need high beam to be HID so works for me :)

interesting post, thanks for taking time to actually add the addresses as a recommendation.

got a couple of questions with regards to HID bulbs:

The HID stuff is new to me, what 'k' is that blue colour you sometimes see on lowered corsas?

And if I wanted plain whiter light what colour temp would that be?

Assuming following ranking in priorities:

1. legal

2. MOT friendly

3. road user friendly

4. safe

5. lifespan >2 years

Does anybody have a review of an aftermarket HID kit (meeting above ranking), with more than 10k miles lifetime?

TIA

white to OE light you want 4300k or 5000k

the lights you see boy racers using is 8000k and upwards.

that has less useable light too.

i like 4300k.
