Hey peeps planning on fitting my exhaust monday. Ive fitted a few to my old civic but as i understand ( and seen at unit 18) i need to cut the old system. does anyone have a picture of where i need to cut? There was a picture floating around many moons ago but i cannot find it anywhere. 

 

any help would be appreciated

Dan if you can wait til tomorrow il have a look on my old oem exhaust system to see where it's cut. I've got a funny feeling it's somewhere near where the exhaust goes near the rear beam.

Saying that I'm sure someone will be along shortly to confirm bud.

Lee that would be a great help to me. id rather make 1 single cut then mess up and end up having to chop it up in several places 

offer the new system up to the old one(while still on the car) and it should be pretty obvious

 

This is where I cut mine, just after point where it bends to go round the tank.. I originally tried to cut it closer to the back box, but didn't have enough room and almost put the angle grinder through the fuel tank..!!   Fortunately Skoda put a heat shield in the way.. 

 

Should have used a power hacksaw really but didn't have one..
