The car one morning was dead, unable to start.

 

Changed my batt to a brand new 60amp, but sometimes it still does it.

 

Feels like its only in the morning when there is mist/fog or in rain.

 

Next step is..??

have the alternator tested most garages do this for free if its not that then its a loose wire connected to it

Carbon brushes, I guess you mean....

 

Could be a couple of things... Alternator load wire on its way out but not yet broken. Dodgy earth or loose battery connectors.

 

If you've a multimeter, check battery voltage when the car's idling. Should be between 13.8 and 14.4V. Shouldn't change/fluctuate very much.
