Rear Brakes

Featured Replies

After just getting off the phone to a local stealership.  I am a little stunned.  I asked if they supply the little plastic inserts for rear drum brakes that plug into the back plate, which the shoes slide on.  The parts department had know idea what I was on about.  Now is it the way I describe them that is confusing or did I just happen to speak to a cretin?  One quick call to my friendly local garage and they will be in by 11.00 hrs tomorrow.  The mind boggles.

This little plastic part number 3 in the diagram you mean.. Part number 6N0609589

Yes that'll be the insert.  There's 6 per drum.  I take it you do not work at my local dealership lol.  Where did you find that exploded diagram James?

The exploded view is from HERE   I have had no issues at all with this website but one or two on here have had a virus alert from there anti virus program when they open the page.
