The symphony cd player in my 54 plate vRS seems to be quite temperamental, it will only play CD's from the first track, any attempt to skip track and it results in an error and reverts back to the radio.

 

Is this a common fault with them ?

When I had my Fabias (2 over the years)  I never had that problem but my second fabia arrived at the dealers it had a cd stuck in the unit... so had to be replaced, but as I already had a new blaupunkt unit that I bought and was using in my first fabia for a while that went in the second fabia where it stayed and I got the brand new unit in my cupboard somewhere
