My manual says every 2 years but I was wondering if their was a way to check/test?

Buy a brake fluid tester . It measures how much water has been absorbed and tells you if it needs changing. Been using one for a while and it's good addition to one's DIY tool kit.

didn't expect £20! how much is it just to get brake fluid changed?

My local skoda dealer said my brake fluid was dirty when it went for a cambelt and charge £45 to change it

Adding this for anyone that comes across the same issue. Noticed a slightly extended crank a day or so ago, along with a few seconds worth of poor idle and then ran as normal. Checked for codes, and none showing. Checked plugs when I got home again and all ok. Checked the lpfp count and was at or around 50% at idle. No hesitation or misfires and none detected on scanner. Rail holding pressure within parameters and both lpfp and hpfp showing requested and actual pressures where they should b

Hello, recently my air conditionor kinda stopped working. In the morning or in the evening everything works just fine, normal operation. In the middle of the day, being hot outside (30 to even over 40 degrees outside temperature), when i start the car, for 10-20 seconds everything works, after that a noise like a buzz starts to hear from around the middle of the car. I’m having a issue on start-up from cold there is a noticeable lumpy idling. This hasn’t caused any massifier codes when scanning via VCDS. Last year as part of the service the sparkplugs were changes but the rough idol is getting more noticeable. My Audi had the same issue that eventually resulted in constant misfire. That was diagnosed as having a carbon build-up. I don’t want to have the same issue occurring with the Fabia. As the CTHE is direct injection and has done 41k miles I’m guessin

This is a follow up to a previous question I posed recently. I had a 2008 vRS for over 12 years and really loved it before moving on to something different. Looking to getting back into vRS ownership again and toying with the idea of finding one with the 4x4 drive train. If anyone has been able to compare the two, is there a noticeable improvement in road handling with this variant? Thanks
