Roof rack and box for Octavia Estate 2004

I really need some additional space for the annual trip to Ireland this Christmas and would like advice on what my options are for a roof box. As the car does not have rails I will need a suitable roof rack too - the roof rack is the difficult one.

 

My car is a Skoda Octavia Estate 2004 Diesel 1.9 without roof rails

 

I have never had a roof rack before so haven't a clue. 

 

Any advice much appreciated.
