.... really nothing special to report, but I shall say hullo none the less. 
 

Resisted joining "yet another forum" when I was considering Skodas for my better half's daily transport, but now we've got her one and I'm lumped with the task of keeping it in ship shape I thought it wise to sign up.

 

No piccies of the car for you at the moment, what's an intro without pics eh?  I really should have taken some at the weekend as the sun was out and it was freshly cleaned, I dare say it'll be filthy again next time it's on the driveway in good light.

 

We looked at a few Octavias before settling on one. It seemed a genuine sale of an honest car in very good condition. FSH, largely garaged in it's life and a fair spec.  Of all the Octavias I looked at though it was the only one with a green interior, is this a rare option? Hopefully not too rare as I would like to replace the drivers seat and door upholstery at some point as they are torn, whilst the rest is mint.

 

I shall indulge in a bit of searching / digging for info as I've a few questions already. Already answered my jacking point question, and as seems par for the course the sills have previously been flattened    Which I may try to rectify at some point. 

 

Planning to service the car this weekend and give it a thorough check over.

 

I will try to remember to wave the camera at it too.....

Most interiors that I've seen have been grey or tan. Usually grey with green paint.

Green interior? Most odd.
I only ever saw the grey or beige options.

Over the festive period we were struck with some slight misfortune on one of the more stormy nights. Heard a clattering up on the roof and something falling to the ground, woke the next morning to be greeted by my neighbor at the door telling me that there were a couple of ridge tiles scattered across his driveway......

 

Obviously they took an indirect route via the Mrs' Octy...

 

I shall be adding a  couple of panels and an indicator to the wanted list alongside those apparently "rare" bits of interior trim (picture proof of the green glory that it is)
