Hi all going to attempt to change my rocker cover gasket whilst I've got the day off, is there any tips I will need? Also do you need to use sealant or not I've been told no and yes?

What engine is it??...................8v or 16V???

I trust it isn't the 16V...

 

Best tip is don't overtighten the bolts or you'll distort the cover and it'll never seal properly.

 

I would use thinned hylomar to stick the gasket to the head then a very thin continuous bead of black silicon between gasket and cover, that way it'll never leak again.
