EGR valve connecting pipe keeps breaking

Featured Replies

Bought a skoda superb 1  2.0 tdi elegance in late September, only had it a week or two and the EGR valve connecting pipe had broke.

Got a replacement pipe with a dealership ( 100 euro) and got my mechanic to put it on. Only two bolts out of 4 were in place from the previous owner and my Mechanic had to get two other bolts broken out.

All was well until last night when I noticed a lack of power, brought it down to him this morning and low and behold the egr valve connecting pipe had broke in the middle again. The car is still driving but lacks power, I ordered the part in and should have it tomorrow or the next day and get him to replace it.

There is obviously some underlying fault which is causing this pipe to break, has anyone ever come across this before? Thanks.
