vRS and 0% Finance...

Featured Replies

Firstly, a quick hello! I'm looking at purchasing a vRS estate but I'm yet to take the plunge. Looking on here with great interest but nothing to add until now...

My local dealer has just rung me to advise the vRS will no longer be eligible for the 0% deal post 31st December 2013. It will also lose the 3 year free servicing deal. Information gained from a skoda sales update yesterday.

Cheers,

Dave.

That's seems to be the word on the wire. If you're thinking of doing it then you'd better get a wriggle on.

Do not let it rush your decision, demand bigger discount if the 0% and servicing is lost.

It will not rush me into anything but just in case it's important to anyone out there. ;-)

Cheers,

Dave.

Negatives

*Removed 0% PCP Finance (~£2K value over 36-42 months)

*Removed 3-years Free Servicing (~£400 value)

*Added 2-3% List Price Increase (~£400-£500 price increase)

Positives

*Dealers will be able to discount higher on PCP/Finace purchases. Current 5-6% max will increase to 12-15% max

*Waiting lists will shrink.

Overall

*If you want to pay via PCP get your orders in this year. The current deal is great and may work out £2K-£3K cheaper than buying next year.

*If you intend to pay cash you will be better off ordering this year. Cash discounts will be similar but next year you'll pay +2-3% purchase price and lose the free servicing.

*Skoda have removed incentives and increased prices to clear waiting lists and make higher margin.
