Exhaust question

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a milltek cat back and I've seen one off a 2012 hatch.

My question is I have a 2006 estate tfsi and the listings for the milltek systems say 2004-2010 so am I right in thinking the tsi system will differ. If so how

Cheers

Ok I've been googling all night on milltek sites and it seems the fact it's 2012 won't matter.

A more pressing question is will a hatch exhaust fit an estate?

Shouldn’t be an issue, the estate uses the same floorpan and is the same size as the hatchback,

I would be more concerned about a fl exhaust fitting on a pre fl car.

you should be fine. my milltek cat back had been previously fitte on a pre-fl. you might need to make up an adapter but any compentent exhaust shop should be able to sort that out for you.

have you ridden in a car with one fitted? mine was a non-res (loud) version and tbh it was way too noisy for a road car IMO. several people i've spoken to since have said that i should have gone for a "resonated" version - yep, that would have been a better choice.. lol. Mine was only on the car for the time it took to have a short test drive, then it was removed and sold.

HTH.

Cheers rob, that's good news about the fitment.

The noise is ok for me coming from subarus with big chav cannons on the back ;)

As long as its not overly boomy on the motorway but ill soon find out as its coming on the 27th

Hi gizmo, didnt see your response earlier.I think the only problem with pre and post fl was with a resonated centre not the back box and as this is unresonated it should be ok ... I hope
