Wistful Christmas Ideas

Featured Replies

So, as Christmas approaches, a bit of time to reflect. And to think how next year may be further improved. Now 2013 saw the arrival of my Superb...so thoughts turn to that and...what Santa could bring for my car...

On very long drives I long for a cup of tea - especially abroad. I can take my PG Tips and milk...but what about the water. Then I notice the engine oil is circulating at 105 degrees...wouldn't it be clever to use that heat to make my tea?

Or, a fold away hook in the front passenger foot well by the gear stick so bags of quickly grabbed takeaway or shopping don't slide about?

Or, an auxiliary power socket hidden behind the cover by the fuses, so things like a road camera can be plugged in and the wire taken behind the A pillar cover to the top of the windscreen.

Or an indentation on the driver seat back so my back trouser doesn't always snag it getting in. Grrrrr...

Any more? Happy Christmas!

True cruise control so I can climb in the back and have a snooze :giggle:  I believe Google are working on an app for it!

Retro fit - front parking sensors, heated front screen, DAB & TV module on my Columbus - Are any of these possible, has anyone done any ?

Agree.

Agree.

They are removable...just fiddly.

Slide something thin around the outside of it and you can lift it out....mine comes out anyway...so presumably yours does.

Switchable (i.e. electric) rear child locks - fed up of having to keep switching over with the key when adults/older children are in the back.

Think my Audi had them?

Will try a bit harder to remove it, thanks.

Mrs Brockysuperb asks why the clock on the Columbus (when turned off) can't be a nicer, larger, possibly analogue with a sweep second hand, in keeping with the car and not a 1980's clock radio which is far smaller than the screen allows?

It will use too much electricity and is not green. Could not get the laughing face to work!
