took the plunge today

 

vRS TDi hatch in Candy white, anthracite alloys, red stitched seats with extra cruise and managed to get the spare thrown in as well for £22018 with the service package and 0% finance as well.

 

ordered from Lightcliffe in Warrington ... due date unkown as yet but I reckon June.

Well done mate the wait begins i ordered my Candy White Estate last Thu was told to expect April/May not too bothered get the rubbish weather out of the way!

I order mine tomorrow, still debating on colour, can't decide between white and race blue. Haven't seen a good picture of a white hatch with anthracite wheels yet, seen blue & black hatches in the flesh at lightcliffe myself over the weekend.

Cripes that's a long wait. Have you chaps agreed a trade in value when sealing the deal or is that still to be agreed/you have no trade in?

Fewie...I test drove the business managers blue tdi hatch ... I thought it looked ok..... but the 19" alloys didn't suit it at all.

 

I was torn between solid red or the white .... just me but I hate paying for metallic or pearlescent paint !!

 

I got a quote off Carwow (Alex Lawrie in Liverpool) and took the deal into saleswoman Sarah and asked if they could match it ... they obviously did and then a few days later rang back and said thanks for the pricematch ... now beat it so they asked what I wanted ... which is where I got the spare chucked in.

 

Im happy with the deal which is the main thing!

Agreed morty, the 19's didn't look right on the blue hatch, though the high ride height didn't help it. Needs lowering with the 19's for sure. Did you see the other demo? The black hatch with full leather? Looked very ordinary in black, although it was filthy. The full leather seats looked poor too, sagging badly. Glad I saw it because I was considering both black and leather.

My local dealer has agreed to match the Alex lawrie quote and I'm happy with that. Like you I plan to eBay my car when the vRS hits the boat.

no mate didn't see the black one ... my current 159 is black so wanted a change anyway

My current car will also be going on the bay once i have a better idea on when my VRS is due, dealer would not offer a part ex price so far in advance, however did give me a price for here and now and said price in 4 months would not be a million miles away worst case i will chop it in, but should be able to sell on the bay no problems.

I need to sell mine too, why eBay rather then trader?

I personally think ebay has overtaken trader these days
