Bluetooth Media not playing.

Had my Octavia Elegance Estate for a week now and found the bluetooth connectivity for the phone is spot on but the bluetooth media function is virtually un-useable. When I first paired to my iPhone 4S it was great, I could see track info and scroll thorugh the tracks with no issues for a couple of days. After that it just stopped responding and even after repairing the phone, just does not function from the control unit. I can play by pressing play on the phone but that is not ideal. Anyone else come across this?
