What's the best way to find out if your car has central locking? The last guy who had my Fabia said there was two keys came with the vehicle but one got lost with the owner before him. I've just got a standard normal key. Any help is appreciated

Is your question focused at Central locking or Remote Central locking?

 

1) do all your doors unlock when you unlock your Drivers door with the key? If yes that is Central locking.

 

 2) Remote central locking is with a Keyfob.

Then You would either

 

1) Have a keyfob style key and the spare key is the same.

2) If it had an aftermarket style remote and its on the other lost key. You would normally get two fobs.

 

Could you not contact the previous owner?

1) speak to previous owner & ask what type of key they lost

 

 

2) phone Skoda, give them your reg & they can tell you if it has remote locking or not. If you want a spare key doing even if it doesn't have remote locking then just get someone out to do it. They can plug their equipment in to see if it has remote locking before they start cutting manual or remote key blades

 

 

I've been to do a fair few keys for Fabia's that haven't had remote locking
