very quick a.b.s question

Featured Replies

Sounds very n00bish but are the abs plugs the same for drivers and passenger side?

I broke the plug as opposed to the sensor so need to cut the loom and plug away and then replace with a olug.

Ive found them on ebay, just want to know if theyll fit regardless of side

Cheers

Chris

Ditto!!

Also, if you take a close look at the connector, using a magnifying glass, you should be able find the VAG p/n of the carcass of that connector, which if you can find it, will let you get your local VAG place to order in a new carcass, when you get it, simply "gently" crack the damaged carcass by crushing it and you will be able to remove the wiring and connector pins, take note which went where, then load them into the new carcass - job done without any messy splicing of cables.

Unfortunately yes, after I trusted my local VW garage to replace the front wheel bearings, though I must confess that I was both amazed and happy that VAG get suppliers to identify even parts that small, it was the wear indicator connector that got its locking tag broken - as well as the cable sheared completely and cleverly concealed using insulating tape!
